Christine Poythress

Christine Poythress, holds a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from Belmont University in Nashville, TN and she is a published author. Although acting has always been a part of her life, her most demanding role was that of Agnes in Agnes of God, most of Christine’s performance experience involves singing. Along with Classical recitals and appearances with regional orchestras, she played the role of Glenda in The Wizard of Oz (such fun to fly!); Bunny in Babes in Arms and the Snake in The Apple Tree. As a guest soloist, she sang the National Anthem in Madison Square Garden for both the New York Knicks and the Rangers. During a 13 year detour from "serious" singing -- Poythress played "flattop" guitar in country bands, was the "girl" singer at the Silver Saddle in Atlanta, GA., played solo and duo gigs, and worked the Southeastern hotel circuit, local nightclubs, occasional honky tonks and private parties. Recently Christine has been focusing on acting for the camera, studying at the Actor’s School in Franklin, TN.
